Family Trip 2001: CALIFORNIA

In June 2001, I had the best summer vacation. And I bet it could've been happier if I was older that time. Wala pa din digicams noon, that's why it's hard to get a real good picture. Some are dark or blurry. We visited my grandparents in San Diego when my Lola was still alive. My Lolo still lives there until now with one of my aunts. It's not that easy to have a US visa and we we're lucky enough to be issued with a 10years tourist visa. Yey! Sadly my brothers and I only managed to go there once. My parents tried their luck on employment twice and unfortunately, it just wasn't for them. I can't believe it's been more than a decade since I stepped into LA airport. I don't know when I'll be there again. I hope soon! =)

Sharing my California vacation experience. Heavy picture post!*

Historical Cabrillo National Monument
Cabrillo National Monument, located at the tip of Point Loma,
is a great place to get panoramic views of much of San Diego County

and into Tijuana, Mexico.
The Cabrillo National Monument was  established in 1913,

to commemorate Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo's voyage of discovery.
At the highest point of the park stands the Old Point Loma Lighthouse,
which has been a San Diego icon since 1854.
Central Cultural, San Diego
Welcome Disneyland California!
Oh yeah I've been to the happiest place on earth! I've met Mickey Mouse!

Animals on the lose! one of the most progressive zoos in the world,
with over 4,000 animals of more than 800 species.
It is also one of the few zoos in the world that houses the giant panda!
Seaport Village, Downtown San Diego

This is where my Lolo used to work as an engineer.
A cool place to shop, dine, do recreational things and relax.
My grandparents humble home in National City, San Diego.
Lola goofing around while Lolo is asleep! =)
Treasure every place you're able to travel to. Take lots of pictures, eat different crazy foods, try first time scary and wild experiences. Not everyone are lucky enough to have those opportunities like yours. Have a great week everyone!
