At the TOP!

Summer is upon us and I haven't got a chance to take a dip on a pool yet. Most people's idea for the season would be soaking under the sun at the beach but I'm not actually not a fan. A day at a resort would be more fun for me!Anyway, we started our summer not playing under the heat but rather enjoying the view at the top! So how does it feel to be on top of the world? Well I don't know yet but I know now what it feels like to be on top of the current world's tallest tower! Yes, it's at The Burj Khalifa indeed! I'd rather jump from 124th floor than be drowned in an ocean. I hate the deep blue water but I'm an ultimate fanatic of great heights! That's why I really made sure I'll get to take this skyscraper experience this year.

The craziest thing that amazed me here was the bullet-like elevator! You'll reach the 124th floor in just a minute or two. The tower is 828 meters high but tourist are only allowed at the observation deck which is also the highest in the world at 440 meters.

World records:
Highest mosque at 158th floor.
Highest elevator installation.
Building with most floors (160) – previously USA’s World Trade Center (110)
Architecture facts
There’s 28,261 of glass-panels on the exterior of the tower.
Its top spire can be seen from 95km afar.
Construction facts
It took some 22 million man-hours to be completed.
Total weight of aluminium used is equivalent to that of five A380 aircraft.
Total length of stainless steel bull nose fins used is equal to 293 times the height of France’s Eiffel Tower.
The foundations were dug to depths of 50m.
Financial figures
Total cost estimated at US$1.5 billion.
Environmental facts
The tower’s peak electricity demand is estimated at 50MVA, equivalent to roughly 500,000 100-watt light bulbs.
It’s expected to use an average of 946,000 litres of water each day.

Though there's not much things to do while your at the top but be stunned with the awesome downtown Dubai view, still, the feeling that you're at twice the height of NY's Empire State feels great! Happy weekend everyone! Enjoy the last week of June!
