You're gonna miss this

There are moments we take for granted. Times like working in the office on weekdays, staying at home on weekends, playing around on holidays, doing some things that we thought we can always do. But things change and everyone changes with time. Our everyday schedule changes, people we interact with everyday leaves. Your seatmate may transfer school next year. Your office mate may go abroad next month. Your neighbor may leave the street tomorrow. You may miss things and people you thought you won't.

I miss these days:

1. New Year drinking session with my cousins!

2. Design and Development family. Office mates I've worked with for almost 2 years.

3. Night jogging with girlfriends. These three girls are who you can call "friends for better and for worse". Friends for life!

  

4. Beach outings with college friends. We used to hang out on the beach at least once a month. Now all these guys are busy working people already!

5. Complete family! This picture was taken 3 years ago. We look so young. Haha.

I'd like to share these things about me:

1. DESIGN WORLD. I live in the Design world. I'm everyday surrounded by architects and engineers and I always wish I'm one of them too. I'm a draftsman drawing their designs. I have worked in different construction companies and it might sound not cool for other girls, but for me working in construction is the most exciting job!

2. AUTOCAD. Now, over 10 million professionals in 185 countries are using Autodesk products to save time and money, gain competitive advantage, and change the way ideas are brought to life.

I use AUTOCAD 8 hours per day supposedly, but we are suckers for overtimes! That's also why I can't blog as much as I want to, Autocad takes me away from blogspot! I;ve been using this software for 5 years now and I can say I know it well. Pa-humble. Hihi.

3. NEWYORK! I always say that 10 years from now I'll be a famous and busy architect in the New York! I don;t know how many years had already passed. Hindi ko yata maaabutan yung 10 years! Haha. New York is just so dreamy, for me it contains all my career goals. Everytime I hear some famous Filipino having a great career in New York, I'm like wow, someday ako rin! Whoo! Kitakits sa Big Apple!

4. HELLO KITTY. I was once a fan! I'd collect items with that cute kitty face. One of my dreams was too visit Sanrio in Japan. I've only been to Sanrio in California but it was just a small shop. I still like to go there if I'll have the chance but I'm already over Hello Kitty. I don't find her that cute anymore. Hehe. But I loved her more than Barbie.

5. PIANO. I used to take piano lessons when I was in elementary and highschool. When we had a financial crisis while I was in college, my YAMAHA organ was sacrificed! It has been mine for years and I just realized today that I never had a photo with ti. Awww.. so one of my goals before I turn 25 is to learn how to play again and of course purchase another YAMAHA, maybe grand piano naman! How i wish, haha!

6. HIP-HOP DANCE. I'm not a dancer! I can't even dance well. I don't know how to move on the dance floor. Haha. But I've always love dancing. I love watching dance competitions. I;m always impressed with their dance routines and I always wish to be part of some dance group. But they'll surely have a hard time on me, todo aral ito! Haha!

7. CRUNCH. I'm addicted to sweets! And this one is my favorite and Hershey products too! No need to elaborate more, I'm sure all girls loves sweets!

Pinays: Beauty and Brains!

Another Filipino pride! Ms.Shamcey Supsup won 3rd runner up for Ms. Universe 2011.She is a good example for "beauty and brains" Pinay. She has the incredible academic credentials. She has an interesting blend of beauty and brains, but quite distinctly great weight on brains. She was stunningly beautiful during the coronation light last September 12 in Sao Paolo Brazil. Her long gown also was a scene stealer; it was a see-through dress! And take note, Supsup was the only one among the final 5 contestants who answered the judge’s question without an aid of an interpreter. And of course, she has that charismatic smile!

She's all over the place now. Everyone must have already heard all about her achievements, just for review, here are the most impressive ones:


She was a valedictorian of her grade school batch, and was salutatorian of her high school batch at the Makati High School.


She graduated Bachelor of Science in Architecture with Latin honors from the University of the Philippines
She topped the 2010 Architect Licensure Examination.
Ms. Universe 2011 3rd-runner up (she's still the Ms. Universe for all Filipinos!)

Sorry to tell you guys but this wonderful talented lady is already taken. My officemates can't get over her beauty and also for her being a fellow architect. Well apparently, everyone loves her! Just knowing that she's an architect already made a good impression. I've been living in design world since I started working and it was really nice to know that she does too. But she's a high profile one. She's definitely a professional beauty queen!

I know it's too late to be a fan of Alanis Morisette but it's just these past few months that I became one. Well I just heard that she's someone popular way back 90's and Avril Lavigne loves her (I'm an avid fan of Avril). Upon hearing her songs, yes her lines do sounds like Avril's. Lately, I'm accidentally hearing her songs in different places, not because it's a current hit, just coincidentally. Have you noticed I have two post titled after her songs? Head over feet and You learn. And I'm already LSS with Hands Clean!


Alanis Morissette is a Canadian/American singer-songwriter, record producer and occasional actress.


What to love about her? Here:

1. First of all, her real name is just so lovely. Alanis Nadine Morisette. Her name is of Greek origin.

2.She wrote her first song when she was nine years old and began playing the piano at the age of 6.

3. Alanis Morissette was inducted onto the Canadian Walk of Fame on 5 June 2005 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

4.She is a seven time Grammy Award-winner. She is the youngest artist to ever win an "Album of the Year" Grammy at age 21.

5. She once dated one of the sexiest hunk in Hollywood, Ryan Reynolds! In May 2003, to celebrate their one year anniversary, they wore matching rings on their fourth fingers of their right hands.He was her boyfriend for two years, they got engaged from 2004-2006 and bought a home in Vancouver. Ryan is a Canadian too. It didn't last though.

6. Madonna had to meet with Alanis and exert pressure on her not to quit Maverick Records over her disappointing sales -and Maverick marketing- of latest album (May 2001). Can you believe Madonna did that? Alanis was a star!

7. Alanis has sold over 60 million albums worldwide, making her one of the most successful female artists of all time! Whoa! Totally loving her now!

Hands Clean Song Rumors: 


This is rumored to be autobiographical, about a relationship Morissette had with a (much?) older man when she was a teen pop star in Canada. She was 14 and the guy was about 30, but she won't reveal his name. Part of the song is what the guy thinks, and her response.

I've heard the man she references in "Hands Clean" is singer Dave Matthews.

The narrator relishes the power of being a woman worshipped by a younger man, and has fun with the role reversal by mockingly addressing her boyfriend as a "pretty young thing."

Hands Clean Song Truth: Alanis admitted to US Weekly that "Hands Clean" from her 'Under Rug Swept' album is about an affair that she had with a man 29 years old when she was just 14 years old. Their relationship lasted 5 years. She makes comments that seem to imply that the older man the song is about was someone who she initially knew on a professional level.

Whatever people might think of hers song lyrics, all I'm sure about is she speaks the truth. She writes honestly and expresses her feelings in every way she can. So who loves Alanis?! I'm sure you guys do!

Smile is the second best thing you can do with your lips. Kissing is first! The simplest way to show affection is by giving someone even just a smack on the cheek. Last Song Syndrome

Last Song Syndrome or LSS is when you end up singing random songs that you last heard whether you like the song or not. I got caught up with  another Rihanna hit. This song keeps playing the whole week. We also got caught up with too much work. The designers sent us bunch of drawings during the holidays and they're expecting us to finish everything in just three days! So last Friday night, I didn't get to go home. We worked till 1 in the morning. Thank God this song makes me feel relaxed, though it got weird for sometime because the tune was stuck in my head like I can't think of any other song anymore.
